Finding your way and your events

This guide shows you how to move around Backoffice and how to find one event among all your events.

Before you start

You need a signed-in account with a confirmed email address. Backoffice sends unconfirmed accounts to Check your email first.

You do not need a company, an event or a paid package to follow this guide.

Backoffice takes its language and colour theme from your browser. The screenshots on this page match the light or dark theme of this documentation site.

Every screen in this guide sits inside the same frame: a sidebar on the left, a header across the top, and the page itself on the right.

Open and close the sidebar

The sidebar starts closed, so you see only its icons. It opens when you point at it, and it stays open until you close it again.

The Backoffice sidebar with the Events, Transactions and Email Campaign Analytics items, and the header controls. The Backoffice sidebar with the Events, Transactions and Email Campaign Analytics items, and the header controls.

You can open it in three ways:

  1. Point at the closed sidebar, and it opens after a moment.
  2. Select the small button at the top left of the header.
  3. Press Ctrl B on Windows and Linux, or ⌘B on a Mac.

Backoffice remembers whether you left the sidebar open or closed.

The word Dashboard in the coloured banner always stays in English, even when you read Backoffice in Serbian.

Move between the three destinations

The sidebar holds three destinations, in this order:

Item Takes you to
Events Your own events
Transactions Payments and invoices
Email Campaign Analytics Results of your email campaigns

The item for the page you are on is highlighted, so you always know where you are.

Your companies appear above these three items when you manage at least one company. Select a company name to open it.

On a narrow screen the sidebar covers the page instead of sitting beside it. Selecting a destination closes the sidebar again.

Transactions is for administrators only

The sidebar shows Transactions to every signed-in user. Only platform administrators can open the page behind it. Everyone else is returned to Events.

An Admin entry also appears in the sidebar for platform administrators. This guide does not cover it.

Use the header

From left to right, the header holds a breadcrumb and a group of controls.

The breadcrumb shows where you are: RU4M, then the section, then the page. On an event's own page the last part is the event's title, or Details when the event has no title yet.

The controls on the right are:

  • Search…, which opens the command palette.
  • An Events button, which opens the public event pages.
  • The currency selector.
  • The language switcher.
  • The theme toggle.

The last three are covered in Language, currency and theme.

Open the command palette

The command palette takes you to another Backoffice screen without the mouse.

  1. Press Ctrl K on Windows and Linux, or ⌘K on a Mac.
  2. Type the name of a destination.
  3. Select the destination to open that screen.

The command palette open with its search field and the Navigation group of destinations. The command palette open with its search field and the Navigation group of destinations.

The palette lists the same destinations as the sidebar, grouped under Navigation. Platform administrators also get an Admin group.

The palette does not search for events. To find an event, use the search box in the events table.

Sign out

The bottom of the sidebar shows your name and email address. Select your name to open the account menu.

The menu holds one action, Logout, which returns you to the sign-in screen.

Finding your events

Backoffice opens Events right after you sign in.

The page is called All Events, with the line Manage and organize your events underneath. Two buttons sit in the top right corner:

  • Add Company, which creates a company.
  • Add Event, which starts a new event.

A line below the heading explains what to do first: Create your company profile once, then connect it as the organizer when adding events.

Above the table, a count tells you how many events match what you are looking at. The screenshot below is searched for RU4M, so the count reads 3 results; a single match reads 1 result. While a new count loads, • updating… appears next to it.

Read the events table

The events table narrowed by the word RU4M, with the result count, the column headers and the Rows per page control. The events table narrowed by the word RU4M, with the result count, the column headers and the Rows per page control.

The table has these columns:

Column What it shows
Event The event's title
Date The day it starts
Time The hour it starts
Location Where it takes place
Active Tier The package the event currently uses
Status How far the event has progressed
Code The short code for the check-in desk
Actions What you can do with this event

When an event has no date yet, the Date column reads TBA. The same happens for a missing location. A missing package shows a dash instead.

The table shows dates as day, month and year, for example 15 Dec 2026. This order is the same in every language.

The table does not show how many people attend, and it does not switch between different layouts.

Open one event

Select the event's title. Backoffice opens the event's overview.

Selecting the empty space in the row does nothing. You have to select the title itself.

Understand the status

Each status has its own colour:

Status Colour Meaning
DRAFT Amber You are still preparing the event
PENDING Grey Backoffice does not set this status, so it does not appear on your events
PUBLISHED Green The event is visible to attendees
PAYMENT COMPLETED Blue The package has been paid for

These four words stay in English even when you read Backoffice in Serbian.

An event on a free package shows DRAFT instead of PAYMENT COMPLETED. A free package needs no payment, so it never reaches PAYMENT COMPLETED.

Actions on one event

The Actions column offers View, Edit, Invite, Edit Tier, Upgrade Tier, Publish, Unpublish and Delete.

You only see the actions you are allowed to use. An event you cannot edit offers no actions at all.

When the list is empty

A brand-new account sees a short message instead of a table: No events available at the moment. The count above it reads 0 results.

The All Events page with no events, showing the message No events available at the moment. The All Events page with no events, showing the message No events available at the moment.

This screen appears only when you have no events at all.

If a search or filter matches nothing, the table stays and shows No results. instead.

Events that are missing from the list

Backoffice shows you the events you moderate, plus the events whose organizer company you manage.

An event disappears from your list when you no longer moderate it and no longer manage its company.

Search and filters

Search by title

The search box at the left of the toolbar is labelled Search events....

  1. Select the search box.
  2. Type part of an event's title.
  3. Stop typing. After a moment, the table shows only the matching events.

The events table narrowed by the word RU4M, with the result count, the column headers and the Rows per page control. The events table narrowed by the word RU4M, with the result count, the column headers and the Rows per page control.

Search looks at the title and nothing else. It ignores the location, the date, the package and the status.

If a search does not find an event, the event may still be in your list. Try the Location filter instead.

Search ignores accents. An event titled Riječ is also found when you type Rijec.

Filter the list

Three columns carry a filter: Location, Active Tier and Status.

  1. Select Active Tier or Status above the table.
  2. Tick the values you want.
  3. Close the menu. The table shows only the matching events.

The Status filter menu open with the DRAFT, PENDING, PUBLISHED and PAYMENT COMPLETED options. The Status filter menu open with the DRAFT, PENDING, PUBLISHED and PAYMENT COMPLETED options.

  • Location is a text box, not a menu. Type part of a place name into it.
  • Active Tier offers the packages your own events use, so your list may differ from someone else's.
  • Status always offers exactly four values: DRAFT, PENDING, PUBLISHED and PAYMENT COMPLETED.

A Reset button appears whenever a search or filter is active. Select it to clear everything and see your full list again.

Filters and search cover all your events, not only the page you are looking at.

Sort the columns

Select a column heading to open its sort menu.

Choose Asc for ascending order, such as oldest first, or Desc for descending order, such as newest first.

An arrow beside the heading points up for ascending order and down for descending order.

Choose Reset in the menu to remove the sorting.

You can sort by Event, Date, Time, Location, Active Tier and Status. You cannot sort Code or Actions.

The table sorts by one column at a time.

Change the page size

The footer of the table carries two controls.

Rows per page sets how many events appear at once. Choose 10, 20, 30, 40 or 50. The default is 10.

Page 1 of 5 shows where you are. The four buttons next to it jump to the first, previous, next and last page.

Choose the columns you see

The View button at the right end of the toolbar opens the list of columns.

  1. Select View.
  2. To find a column in a long list, type its name in Search columns....
  3. Untick the columns you want to hide.

Your choice lasts only while the page stays open. Backoffice does not save it.

Share a filtered view

Backoffice writes your search, filters, sort and page into the address bar.

You can bookmark the address, send it to a colleague, or reload the page without losing your view.

Troubleshooting

Selecting the row does nothing. Select the event's title instead. Only the title opens the event.

Selecting Transactions sends me back to Events. That page is for platform administrators. Use Email Campaign Analytics for your own results.

The search box finds nothing. Search reads titles only. Clear the search, then use the Location filter to look for the event.

A filter hides one of my events. Filters cover all your events. Select Reset to clear them and see the full list.

An event I created is missing. Backoffice lists the events you moderate and those whose company you manage. Check whether you still have either role.

A row has no actions. You cannot edit that event. Ask the event owner or a company manager to give you access.

My event shows DRAFT, not PAYMENT COMPLETED. The event uses a free package, which needs no payment. PAYMENT COMPLETED appears only for a package that needs payment.

No company appears in the sidebar. You do not manage a company yet. To create one, select Add Company on the All Events page.
